IPVideo Corporation joins ONVIF

Bay Shore NY-November 2, 2009. IPVideo Corporation, the developer and manufacturer of DynaView network-based physical security solutions, announced that the company has joined the Open Network Video Interface Forum (ONVIF). Established in 2008, ONVIF is a global and open industry forum that is committed to the adoption of network video in the security market. The ONVIF specification defines a common protocol for the exchange of information between network video devices including automatic device discovery, video streaming and intelligence metadata.

There are a large number of DynaView video management systems (VMS) and physical security information management (PSIM) products installed worldwide. Built on open standards, DynaView solutions are designed to provide a comprehensive security system that will keep pace with today’s changing physical security market.

“Developing a common protocol is important to the continued growth of the network-based physical security information management market,” said Paul Galburt, Vice President of Development at IPVideo. “We have been committed to open standards for over a decade and organizations such as ONVIF help ensure that IPVideo’s VMS and PSIM products will continue to lead the industry with support for a broad list of leading IP surveillance components and solutions.”
